As is so often the case at WASSERMANN, the story of our rotary stroke transfer units began with a customer inquiry. That was in the 1990s. The task: to replace a pneumatic transfer device that fed hard disk blanks in and out of the coating process with a faster solution.

The rotary stroke transfer unit from WASSERMANN not only impressed with its significantly shorter cycle times. The smooth running of the device was so outstanding that it was assumed during vibration tests that the transfer unit had failed – but it ran at full speed in a relaxed manner.

Today, our rotary stroke transfer units are the linchpins at the transfer points of process lines in the optical industry, in mechanical engineering and at many automotive suppliers. In many places also in combination with SCARA mechanics to increase the range.
